The Selected Professions Fellowships for Women of Color are awarded to women during their fellowship year. Two level of awards are given, one in the science and technology group for a master's degree, and the other for a professional focus group for historically underserved female students pursuing a professional course of study.

Requirements
  • Resident of the U.S.
  • Graduate or professional degree student
  • Fulltime student
  • Attending school in the U.S.
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Female, AND
  • Studying for a graduate degree in architecture, computer science, engineering, or math/statistics, OR
  • Female of color from a historically underserved population, AND
  • Studying for a professional degree in business, law, or medicine
  • Demonstrate financial need Preference will be given to women who do not already have a master's or first professional degree and to students who demonstrate their intention to enter professional practice in fields where women are underrepresented, to serve underserved populations and communities, or to pursue public interest areas. This also applies to nontraditional students.
