Requirements
  • This award is presented to Army personnel in the Active component, Army Reserve, or Army National Guard.
  • Applicants must be a CMF 46 sergeant to sergeant major with fewer than 18 years of active service; hold a primary MOS of 46Q, 46R, or 46Z; and have at least 3 years of service remaining after receipt of the scholarship.
  • They must exemplify "the Army's vision and influence others in shaping future leaders." Along with their application, they must submit 1) a 1,000word essay on the future of Army Public Affairs and how the NCO can impact it; 2) a letter of recommendation from their supervisor explaining how they best exemplify the Army's vision, care for soldiers, and work toward shaping our future leaders; and 3) their enlisted record brief.
