Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Iowa who are dependents of employees of newspapers in the state.
  • Applicants must be planning to enroll at an accredited 2 or 4-year college or university in any state.
  • They must be preparing for a career in journalism or communications.
  • Selection is based on academic record, demonstrated talent, and desire to work for an Iowa newspaper; some consideration is also given to financial need.
