Requirements

This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools or home schools in Alabama and planning to enroll at a college, university, community college, or technical school in the state.

Students registered as DACA are eligible.

Applicants must have a grade average of at least "C+" and ACT/SAT scores that depend on the college to be attended.

They may also attach a personal statement essay that they have written as part of their college application.

If they did not have a personal statement essay, they must write such a statement now on their background, identity, family life, or special interest, and how their past has impacted who they are today.

Selection is based on academic merit, commitment to volunteer and community service, assistance to family members, and financial need.
