Requirements
  • This competition is open to students entering or enrolled full-time at a 2- or 4-year college or university in any state.
  • Applicants must submit an essay of 400 to 450 words on how software engineers and developers can take a more active role in adhering to technology ethics and protecting those affected by the solutions they build.
  • They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher; entering freshmen must have taken either the ACT or SAT test.
  • Selection of the scholarship winner is based on the quality and thoughtfulness of the essay.
