South Dakota Bankers Association High School Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors in South Dakota who plan to attend college in the state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in South Dakota and planning to enroll full-time at an accredited college, university, vocational/technical school, or community college in the state.
  • Students must obtain an application from a participating bank in their community.
  • Each bank is free to establish its own requirements, but the South Dakota Bankers Association Foundation recommends the following selection criteria: academics (10%); school, extracurricular, civic, religious, volunteer, and special interest activities (25%); character, based on a 200word essay on their goals and values (25%); and an interview during which students are asked about the challenging aspects of being a teenager today and how a local bank generates economic growth (40%).
