Southwestern Region Korean American Scholarship provides financial assistance to Korean American students from any state who are working on or planning to work on an undergraduate or graduate degree in any field at a school in southwestern states.

Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of any state who are 1) U.S. citizens of Korean heritage; 2) Korean citizens who have a valid visa to study in the United States; 3) citizens of any other country who are of Korean heritage and have a valid visa to study in the United States; 4) descendants of American veterans who served during the Korean War; 5) if extra funds are available, other students not of Korean heritage may qualify for scholarships.
  • Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll as a fulltime undergraduate or graduate student at a college or university in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, or Texas.
  • High school sophomores and juniors are also eligible to apply.
  • They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Selection is based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, an essay, recommendations, and financial need.
