The Stars Scholarship Fund Scholarship program awards students in the south and west areas of Texas who are high school graduates or GED recipients. Students seeking an associate's, bachelor's, graduate degree, or Ph.D are eligible to apply.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2.70 GPA
  • Resident of Aransas, Bee, Brewster, Brooks, Cameron, Culberson, Duval, El Paso, Goliad, Hidalgo, Hudspeth, Jeff Davis, Jim Hogg, Jim Wells, Karnes, Kenedy, Kleberg, La Salle, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces, Pecos, Presidio, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, Terrell, Webb, Willacy, or Zapata counties, Texas
  • Undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, or law student, earned at least 12 undergraduate credit hours at a college or university before applying
  • High school graduate or GED recipient
  • Seeking an associate, bachelor's, graduate degree, or Ph.D
  • Full or parttime student
  • U.S. citizen or a legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I551
