The Stephen A. Johnston Memorial Scholarship is offered to college sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students who are residents of New Jersey and have an interest in vegetable crop production or a related field. Students who have an association with the Rutgers University Agricultural Research and Extension Center (RAREC) are encouraged to apply. Those majoring in plant pathology receive special consideration.

Requirements

Resident of New Jersey

Current college sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student

Associated with the Rutgers University Agricultural Research and Extension Center (RAREC)

Seeking a bachelor's or graduate degree in vegetable crop production or a related field

Demonstrate academic performance, extracurricular activities, community involvement, work (paid or unpaid), and financial need. Preference is given to students majoring in plant pathology.
