Swiss Benevolent Society of San Francisco General Scholarship provides financial assistance to students of Swiss descent in northern California who demonstrate financial need and are working on or planning to work on an undergraduate or graduate degree.

Requirements
  • This program is open to students of Swiss descent; at least 1 parent must be a Swiss citizen, or the applicant must be a Swiss citizen, and either the parent or applicant must be registered with the Swiss Consulate.
  • Applicants must have lived in northern California for at least 3 years preceding the date of application and be applying to or attending 1) an institution of higher learning in the United States that offers at least a bachelor's degree; or 2) a community college in California.
  • They must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher for the last 2 years of high school or 3.0 for the first year of college and 3.2 thereafter for a minimum of either 12 undergraduate or 9 graduate units per term.
  • Financial need is also considered in the selection process.
