Targeting Excellence Scholarship provides financial assistance to students from designated states who are working on an undergraduate or graduate degree in a food animal production field.

Requirements
  • This program is open to students working on an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree in a field related to food animal production.
  • Eligible fields include but are not limited to, agribusiness, agriculture, animal science, dairy science, poultry science, swine, and veterinary medicine.
  • Applicants must submit a 750word essay on their choice of 2 topics that change annually but relate to current issues in food animal production.
  • They must also submit a 500word personal statement on their career goals.
  • Preference is given to students from states where the sponsor held fundraising events; recently, those included Alabama, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
  • Additional consideration is also given to students who attended a Targeting Excellence event.
