Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Texas who are U.S. citizens.
  • Applicants must be planning to enroll fulltime to work on a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university in the state, although they may begin at a junior college and then transfer.
  • Females and males compete separately.
  • Selection is based on leadership and extracurricular activities (200 points), character (200 points), scholarship (300 points), and financial need (300 points).
