Texas 4-H Baccalaureate Scholarship provides financial assistance to 4-H members in Texas who plan to work on a baccalaureate degree in agriculture or other fields at a college or university in the state.

Requirements

This program is open to graduating seniors at high schools in Texas who have been actively participating in 4-H during the current year and at least 2 of the 3 previous years.

Applicants must be planning to enroll fulltime at a college or university in the state to work on a baccalaureate degree.

They must rank in the upper half of their class, have minimum scores of 950 on the SAT or 19 on the ACT, and have taken and passed all other standardized tests necessary for graduation and admittance to the college or university of their choice.

Selection is based on 4H experience and narratives (50%), GPA (5%), SAT/ACT score (23%), financial need (12%), and a personal interview (10%).

Some scholarships require a major in agriculture or life science; others are unrestricted.

U.S. citizenship is required.
