Texas Department of Transportation Conditional Scholarship provides scholarships/loans to residents of Texas who are economically disadvantaged and interested in majoring in designated areas and then working for the Texas Department of Transportation.

Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of Texas who are graduating high school seniors or college undergraduates able to qualify as economically disadvantaged.
  • High school seniors must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher or at least 900 on the SAT or 21 on the ACT; current undergraduates must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • All applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll fulltime at an accredited 4-year public or private college or university in Texas as a full-time student with a major in civil engineering or an approved operational business discipline.
  • They must be willing to work for the Texas Department of Transportation for at least 2 years after graduation and not be more than 30 days delinquent on any child support obligation.
