Requirements
  • This program is open to the dependent children of certified firefighters in Texas, including retired or deceased firefighters who were certified at the time of retirement or death.
  • Applicants must be younger than 24 years of age and high school seniors or graduates entering a college or university in any state as fulltime first-year students.
  • In the selection process, awards are given first to a male and a female student, and subsequently while funds remain for equal numbers of males and females.
