The The Elizabeth Paul Phillips Scholarship is awarded to students transferring to Appalachian State University from a regional community college. Students who are residents of Avery, Mitchell, or Yancey counties, North Carolina are encouraged to apply. Special consideration is given to students transferring from Mayland Community College, demonstrate financial need, and indicate an interest in returning to the county of their home residence.
