The Garris Family Scholarship is awarded to graduating public high school seniors from San Luis Obispo County, California, who are seeking a certificate, associate, or bachelor's degree. Students who demonstrate financial need and who are Pell grant eligible are welcome to apply. First-generation college students receive special consideration.

Requirements
  • GPA between 2.7 - 3.7
  • Graduating high school senior from a San Luis Obispo County, California public high school; or a homeschooled graduating student or student who has earned their GED during the current school year
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree as a full or part-time student
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, community service, or work
  • Exhibit personal success skills (e.g. emotional maturity, motivation, perseverance, selfreliance)
  • Demonstrate financial need (Pell grant eligible) Preference is given to firstgeneration college students.
