The Gordon Hay Scholarship is a merit-based award available to graduating high school seniors pursuing a non-performing career within the performing arts field. Community engagement, academic achievement, and ambition are considered. Students from Alexander, Anson, Cabarrus, Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Stanley, or Union counties in North Carolina or Chester, Chesterfield, Lancaster, or York counties in South Carolina are eligible to apply. College freshmen and sophomores residing in North or South Carolina are also welcome to apply.

Requirements
  • Graduating high school senior from Alexander, Anson, Cabarrus, Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Stanley, or Union counties in North Carolina or Chester, Chesterfield, Lancaster, or York counties in South Carolina **or**
  • College freshman or sophomore residing in North or South Carolina
  • Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree
  • Studying for a degree in a nonperformance area of theater (set/lighting/sound/costume design, stage management, arts administration, or education)
