The K6GO Gayle Olson and NA6MB Mike Binder Scholarship provide financial assistance to licensed radio amateurs from southern California who are high school seniors. Students planning to pursue postsecondary education are welcome to apply.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2.00 GPA
  • High school senior attending school in Los Angeles, Orange, or San Diego counties, California
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree
  • Planning to enroll at an accredited college, university, junior college, or trade/technical school
  • Licensed radio amateurs with a technician class or higher
  • Interest in radio service or other technical proficiency by participating in some form of radiorelated activities such as emergency communications, equipment construction, community radio service, or scouting Preference is given to students in San Diego County, California (especially Vista Unified School District and Fallbrook Union High School District; if no qualified applicant is identified, second preference is given to students in Orange County (especially Huntington Beach Union High School District or Orange Unified School District) or Los Angeles County (especially Whittier Union High School District).
