About the Scholarship

The Scholarships for Military Children Program recognizes children of active duty or retired military members of the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, or Navy. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement, work experience, and participation in school, community, and volunteer activities. At least one recipient will be selected at every commissary location where qualified applications are received.

Requirements
  • Child of a U.S. active-duty or retired service member (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, or Navy)
  • Possess a valid U.S Uniformed Services ID card (Benefits number required)
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA for high school students, minimum 2.5 for college students
  • Seeking a bachelor's degree (including those enrolling at a community college and transferring to a 4year school) as a full-time student
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and community service
