The SPJ Minority Student Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of any state enrolled at colleges and universities in Kansas who are members of a racial or ethnic minority group and interested in a career in journalism.

Requirements

This program is open to residents of any state who are members of a racial or ethnic minority group and entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year at colleges and universities in Kansas.

Applicants must be seriously considering a career in journalism.

They must be enrolled at least halftime and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
