Requirements
  • This program is open to full-time college juniors, seniors, and graduate students in a recognized livestock, animal science, veterinary, agriculture, or human nutrition program in the United States or Canada.
  • Applicants must be preparing for a career related to the bison or bison industry.
  • Selection is based on essays on the following topics: how they may play a role in the growth of the bison industry in the next 15 years (30%); community and professional organizations to which they belong and their involvement with those (10%); their livestock, veterinary, biological, zoological, human nutrition, accounting, economics, agribusiness, or agricultural work experience (10%); their hobbies and leisure activities (5%); their philosophy of bison in today's environment (10%); what they believe to be the most critical issue affecting their field of study during the next 10 years (10%); and their career goals and objectives (25%).
