About the Scholarship

The Tim Schell Memorial Scholarship is available to senior students from Bartow Senior, Kathleen Senior, or Lakeland High Schools in Florida who participate in community service. Students pursuing a professional certification, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply. Special consideration is given to students who have held a job during their school career and to Polk State College students enrolled in business-related fields.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3.00 GPA
  • Resident of Polk County, Florida
  • Attending Bartow Senior High School in Bartow, Kathleen Senior, or Lakeland high schools in Lakeland, Florida
  • High school senior
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree
  • Complete a minimum of 75 community service hours or work hours
  • Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to students who have held a job during their school career and to Polk State College students enrolled in businessrelated fields.
