The Tither's Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of United Methodist churches in Iowa and Nebraska who are attending college or graduate school in any state and whose parents have a record of tithing to charity.

Requirements
  • GPA of 2.8 or higher.
  • Member of United Methodist churches (UMC).
  • Resident in Iowa and Nebraska.
  • Seeking an undergraduate or graduate degree.
  • FullTime enrollment.
  • Must be enrolled at an accredited 2 or 4-year college or university in Iowa or Nebraska or at an accredited institution of higher education in any state that is affiliated with the UMC.
  • Must have attended at least 26 worship services per year for at least the 3 preceding years. Their parents must be able to document an average taxable income of at least $15,000 per year for the previous 5 years and a record of tithing at least 10% to charitable institutions, including at least 6% to their local United Methodist church.
