Requirements
  • This program is open to students currently enrolled at community colleges in southern California (defined as the area south of the 36th parallel).
  • Applicants must be majoring in geography and have completed at least 2 courses in that discipline.
  • They must have a GPA of at least 3.0 overall and 3.5 in geography courses.
  • Selection is based on merit; financial need is not considered.
  • Students who are not already members of the Los Angeles Geographical Society must join in order to apply.
