The Truex Family Scholarship is available to third-generation or higher African American students enrolled at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. Third-generation or higher African Americans who demonstrate financial need are welcome to apply. Residents of Berks, Montgomery, Philadelphia, and Schuylkill counties in Pennsylvania and students who are the least represented gender according to the American Medical Association receive special consideration.
