The Truex Family Scholarship is available to students enrolled at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. Students who demonstrate financial need are welcome to apply. Special consideration is given to residents of Berks, Montgomery, Philadelphia, and Schuylkill counties in Pennsylvania, as well as to students who identify as the least represented gender in medicine, as defined by the American Medical Association.

Requirements

Resident of Pennsylvania

Attending Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University

Second, third, or fourthyear medical student

Seeking a medical degree fulltime

Studying medicine

U.S. citizen

Participate in community service with medically underserved populations

Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to residents of Berks, Montgomery, Philadelphia, and Schuylkill counties in Pennsylvania and to students who are the least represented gender according to the American Medical Association.
