About the Scholarship

The Union Plus Education Foundation Scholarship Program supports current and retired union members who participate in any Union Plus program and their spouses and dependent children. Students pursuing a professional certification, an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree are encouraged to apply. Scholarship recipients are selected based on their demonstration of financial need and academic excellence.

Requirements
  • Current and retired members of unions that participate in any Union Plus program, their spouses, and their dependent children (minimum 1 year membership)
  • Minimum 3.00 GPA
  • Resident of the U.S. or Canada
  • High school senior, undergraduate, graduate, medical, or law student
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, bachelor's, graduate, law, or medical degree
  • Attending or planning to attend school in the U.S.
  • Show academic ability, social awareness, and appreciation of labor
  • Demonstrate financial need
