USS Mahan Scholarship provides financial assistance for college to dependent children of sea service personnel, especially those who served on the USS Mahan.

Requirements

This program is open to U.S. citizens who are 1) dependents or direct descendants of an active, Reserve, retired, or honorably discharged member of the U.S. sea service (including the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or Merchant Marine); or 2) currently an active member of the Naval Sea Cadet Corps.

Applicants must be high school seniors entering their freshman year at an accredited college or university.

They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Preference is given to descendants of a crew member of the USS Mahan (DDG72).
