The Varsity Athletics Scholarship supports LGBTQ+ and allied students from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington who participate in a varsity-level sport in college. Special consideration is given to visible LGBTQ+ role models on campus.

Requirements
  • Resident of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington for a minimum of three months prior to the application deadline or lived within the state for at least one out of the five prior years
  • Undergraduate or graduate student
  • Seeking a bachelor's or graduate degree
  • LGBTQIA+
  • Proven leadership potential in the LGBTQ+ community or field of study, and play varsitylevel sports
  • Lack of a broader LGBTQ+ community support system
  • Encountered additional barriers to education, including economic, racial, social, geographical, or being politically disenfranchised
  • Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to visible LGBTQ+ role models on campus.
