Requirements
  • This program is open to junior and amateur VHJA members who are enrolled or planning to enroll as undergraduates at a college, university, or trade school in any state.
  • Applicants must provide information on their participation in VHJA over the last few years, their participation in other horserelated activities, their typical week, why this scholarship is important to them, honors and awards in school, extracurricular activities in school or community, and work experience.
  • They must also submit a 750word essay on what they have learned from riding and working with horses, how it has helped shape the person they are today, and how it will benefit them in the future.
  • Financial need is not considered in the selection process.
