The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 637, Otis Berry Memorial Scholarship recognizes the residents of designated communities in Virginia. Students who are seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree and demonstrate financial need are welcome to apply. Children or grandchildren of members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 637 or the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 637 Auxiliary receive special consideration.

  • Resident of Chesterfield, Dinwiddie, or Prince George counties, Colonial Heights, Hopewell, or Petersburg, Virginia
  • High school senior or undergraduate student
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree full or parttime
  • Participation in community service or extracurricular activities
  • Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to children or grandchildren of members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 637 or the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 637 Auxiliary.
