Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Virginia who are members of DECA. Applicants must be planning to enroll full-time at a college or university in any state and study marketing, finance, hospitality, marketing education, or management.
  • They must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher overall and a 3.0 or higher in marketing classes.
  • Selection is based on DECA participation and accomplishments (40%), career interest in marketing, management, finance, hospitality, or marketing education (20%), academic ability (10%), letters of recommendation (10%), and financial need (20%).
