The Virginia Edwards, Robert Banks, and William Lacy Top Ten Scholarship is available to incoming freshmen from high schools in Cherokee County, Texas, who are planning to attend Tyler Junior College and participate in the TJC Forensics Team. Students seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree are eligible to apply. Recipients will be expected to participate in the Presidential Honors Program.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA, AND meet one of the following: ACT 26, with a minimum of 19 on both English and math sub-tests, minimum overall SAT (old) score of 1200 (minimum 500 on math and reading sub-tests), minimum SAT (new) evidence-based reading and writing score of 650, minimum SAT math score of 620)

  • Graduating senior at a high school in Cherokee County, Texas
