Requirements
  • This program is open to active members of the Virginia National Guard who are residents of Virginia and interested in attending college or graduate school in the state.
  • Awards are presented in the following priority order: 1) enlisted personnel who have previously received assistance through this program; 2) officers who need to complete a bachelor's degree in order to be eligible for promotion to captain; 3) warrant officers working on an associate or bachelor's degree; 4) any member working on an undergraduate degree; and 4) any member working on a graduate degree.
  • Recipients must remain in the Guard for at least 2 years after being funded.
