Requirements
  • This program is open to students enrolled full-time at colleges and universities in Montana and working on an undergraduate or graduate degree in fisheries science, especially native fish conservation and management and habitat restoration.
  • Applicants must submit 1) information on their involvement with the American Fisheries Society (AFS), including whether or not they are a member, their involvement in activities, and how their professionalism and leadership qualities make them stand out as a candidate for this award; 2) a 200word description of their research project or research interests and experience and how those relate to native fish conservation and management and/or habitat restoration; 3) a 100-word description of their professional goals; and 4) a 100-word statement of their financial need, particularly how the award funds would be used to further the conservation needs of Montana native fish.
