The Walter C. Jaap Memorial Scholarship is open to students studying marine biology, ecology, geology, environmental science, or chemistry. Students interested in a science-related career, especially those who want to preserve coastal and oceanic habitats and organisms, will be considered. Special consideration is given to students who are 1) practicing Episcopalian faith, 2) studying marine biology or biology, 3) attending college or university in the Tampa Bay, Florida area, and 4) previously receiving this scholarship and reapplying.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2.50 GPA
  • Resident of the U.S.
  • Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree
  • Studying biology, marine biology, ecology, geology, environmental science, or chemistry
  • Attend a 2 or 4-year college or university
