The Walter C. Jaap Memorial Scholarship is open to students studying, marine biology, ecology, geology, environmental science, or chemistry. Students interested in a career related to science, especially those to preserve coastal and oceanic habitats and organisms are welcome to apply. Special consideration is given to students who are 1) practicing Episcopalian faith, 2) studying marine biology or biology, 3) attending college or university in the Tampa Bay, Florida area, and 4) previously receiving this scholarship and reapplying.

  • Minimum 2.50 GPA

  • Studying biology, marine biology, ecology, geology, environmental science, or chemistry
  • Attend a 2 or 4-year college or university
