Walter G. Thorsell Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) who are residents of Washington or Oregon and working on a degree at a college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to residents of Washington and Oregon who have completed at least 1 term of study toward an associate, bachelor's, or master's degree in occupational safety, health, or environmental studies at a college or university in any state.

Applicants must be ASSP student members who are able to demonstrate interest and participation in ASSP and other safety activities.

U.S. citizenship and a GPA of 2.75 or higher are required.
