Walter L. Mitchell Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance for college to the children of members of the International Chemical Workers Union Council (ICWUC).

Requirements
  • This program is open to children, stepchildren, and adopted children of union members who are entering college in the following fall or who have completed less than half a year of college.
  • The qualifying parent must have been a member in good standing for at least 1 year, or have died within the past year, or be on sick leave or layoff and in good standing at the beginning of that sick leave or layoff.
  • Selection is based on high school grades, school evaluations and recommendations, and college entrance tests.
