Requirements
  • This program is open to high school seniors who are U.S. citizens planning careers of service in local, state, or federal government.
  • Applicants must submit a 1page essay describing why they plan a career in government service, including any inspiration derived from the leadership of George Washington in his famous crossing of Delaware.
  • Selection is based on the understanding of career requirements, purpose in choice of a career, preparation for their career, leadership, sincerity, and historical perspective.
