Washington State Dana Brown Thespian Society Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors in Washington who plan to study theater in college.

Requirements

This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Washington who are members of the International Thespian Society.

Applicants must be planning to attend a college or university and major or minor in performance, technical theater, or theater education.

They must have a GPA of 2.7 or higher.

Applications are accepted in 3 categories: 1) performance requires a 2minute solo audition at the organization's state conference; 2) technical theater requires a portfolio of work; and 3) theater education requires essays on their most inspirational teacher, why they want to be a theater teacher, or what they feel is the most important issue facing high school theater today.

Selection is based on those submissions; financial need is not considered.
