Wayne Watts Scholarship provides financial assistance to members of the Kentucky Firefighters Association (KFA) and their dependents who are interested in studying the field of emergency service.

Requirements

This program is open to Kentucky firefighters, emergency medical technicians, and paramedics who are KFA members and their dependents.

Applicants must be planning to enroll in a 2 or 4-year program in fire science, paramedic science, safety engineering, or another field of emergency service.

They must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and scores of at least 19 on the ACT and/or 950 on the SAT. Their school may be in any state, but preference is given to applicants planning to study in Kentucky.
