The William A. Crawford Minority Teacher Scholarship is available to students who reside or have resided in the following underserved counties of Indiana: Allen, Marion, Lake, St. Joseph, or Vanderburgh. Students who are attending or planning to attend an eligible Indiana institution to eventually teach in an underserved Indiana county are welcome to apply.

Requirements
  • Currently reside or resided in the following underserved counties in Indiana: Allen, Marion, Lake, St. Joseph, or Vanderburgh
  • High school senior or undergraduate student
  • Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree fulltime
  • Studying for a teaching degree
  • Attending or planning to attend school in Indiana
  • Planning to apply for a teaching position in Indiana and, if hired, teach in Indiana for at least three years
  • U.S. citizen, asylumseeker or asylee, conditional permanent resident, Cuban or Haitian entrant, FAFSA-eligible non-citizen, humanitarian parolee, permanent resident, refugee, or U.S. national
