Requirements

Applicants for this award must be legally blind (have a visual acuity of 20/200 or less in the best-corrected eye and/or a visual field of 20 degrees or less).

They must be preparing for a career in service to the blind and visuallyimpaired people (special education, orientation, mobility, rehabilitation training, etc.).

Financial need is not considered in the selection process.
