Wilma D. Hoyal/Maxine Chilton Scholarship provides financial assistance to veterans, the dependents of veterans, and other students who are majoring in selected subjects at Arizona public universities.

Requirements

This program is open to second-year or upper-division full-time students majoring in political science, public programs, or special education at public universities in Arizona (the University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University, or Arizona State University).

Applicants must have been Arizona residents for at least 1 year.

They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

U.S. citizenship is required.

Honorablydischarged veterans and immediate family members of veterans receive preference.

Selection is based on scholarship (25%), financial need (40%), character (20%), and leadership (15%).
