Winston A. Felts Scholarship

About the Scholarship

The Winston A. Felts Scholarship supports undergraduate students attending Western Carolina University. Graduates of a North Carolina high school are welcome to apply, particularly Mitchell County, North Carolina residents studying music or teacher education, and then students studying nutrition. If no eligible students are from Mitchell County, priority is given to residents of Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Caldwell, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, McDowell, Madison, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania, Watauga, Wilkes, or Yancey counties, followed by residents of any other North Carolina county.
