Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of Wisconsin who are currently working for a food service employer in the state.
  • Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll full or parttime at an accredited college, university, or technical school in any state and major in a field related to the restaurant and hospitality industry (e.g., culinary, baking, hospitality, food science, family and consumer science education).
  • Selection is based on academic record and achievements (5 points), food service experience (5 points), an essay on a major challenge in the food service industry today (5 points), and essay on how they would meet that challenge (5 points), an essay on why they want a career in the food service industry (5 points), a letter of recommendation (5 points), and an essay on their future career goals, how they intend to reach their goals, and why they are deserving of this scholarship (10 points).
