The WNC Regional Scholarships recognize graduating seniors of Western North Carolina high schools who have demonstrated academic achievement. Students who participated in extracurricular activities and are seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree are welcome to apply.

  • Resident within the 18 counties of Western North Carolina
  • Graduating senior of a western North Carolina public high school, North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, the UNC School of the Arts, or a registered home school in the area
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree
  • Participation in community service, extracurricular activities, leadership, or work
  • Exhibit strong moral character and academic achievement
  • Demonstrate financial need
