How do students who are homeschooled qualify for the program?

Homeschooled students who meet the eligibility criteria can submit to claim an award. For the School Recognition Award, home schooled students are considered based on the school where they took the qualifying exam. Homeschooled students who believe they might be eligible for Rural & Small Town Recognition must nominate themselves. Their eligibility is determined by their home address and is based on location data from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) as of May 2025.
