College Board Terms of Service for Vision Builder

You are permitted to access and use the features and functionality of Vision Builder, available through your College Board student account, to design a digital canvas by adding images ("User Content"), which You may update at any time. Vision Builder will summarize your User Content and generate vision statements from your User Content; and provide you with a PDF summary, that You may download and share if you choose (collectively, the "Permitted Use").

  1. By using Vision Builder, You agree that you have read and understand these Terms of Service and that your use of Vision Builder conforms to them. If You do not agree to these Terms of Service, DO NOT upload any images and use Vision Builder. You understand that College Board is not granting to You any license or sublicense to Vision Builder, and that You are granted only limited rights of online access to use the features and functionality of these services.
  2. You are responsible for your User Content and can only post, upload or share content that you create or have a right to use. Your User Content cannot violate the rights of any third party or individual. You own your User Content and You grant College Board a royalty-free license to store and use your User Content to provide Vision Builder to You.
  3. You may not upload or share User Content that is sexual, violent, hateful or harmful. This includes:
    1. Nudity or sexually explicit images, videos, or text
    2. Content that shows or encourages violence, self-harm, or dangerous behavior
    3. Bullying, threats, or content meant to embarrass, shame, or hurt someone
    4. Hate speech or content that targets people based on race, religion, gender, disability, or other personal characteristics
    5. Graphic or disturbing images
  4. College Board reserves the right to remove any content that we believe violates these Terms of Use. College Board retains the right to deny access to anyone who we believe has violated these Terms of Service.
  5. College Board will not share User Content or any other information You provide in Vision Builder. College Board may use data and information you provide in Vision Builder to maintain, develop, support, improve, and diagnose Vision Builder, and related products. If you download the PDF Summary and share it online in a public forum that College Board may access (e.g., a public posting on Instagram or other social media application), College Board may repost or share your public story or posting.
  6. College Board may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other computational methods (collectively, "AI"), including in the development and during your use of Vision Builder. The use of AI is monitored and is designed to help improve efficiency.
  7. College Board will have no responsibility or liability in connection with any loss or damage which may be incurred by You, your parents or legal guardians as a result of Your use of Vision Builder other than in accordance with the Permitted Use.
  8. You will access Vision Builder through a College Board website. You understand that there is a risk of interruption to websites. You understand that College Board accepts no responsibility for security of information transmitted over the Internet. You understand that all title and proprietary rights in and to Vision Builder is owned by College Board, including copyright, trade secrets and trademarks. Other than solely in connection with the Permitted Use, You are prohibited from copying, disseminating, publishing, displaying or distributing in any form, or reproducing the content in whole or in part. You also agree that You will not, and will not encourage anyone else to: copy, decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, attempt to derive the source code, data layouts, algorithms and/or formulas of, decrypt, modify, or create derivative works of Vision Builder, system updates or any part.
  9. Vision Builder may be taken down periodically for scheduled maintenance and technical fixes.
  10. You agree and understand that College Board's Legal Terms for Students located at https://privacy.collegeboard.org/student-legal-terms?navId=gf-stterms also apply to your use of Vision Builder.
  11. We recognize the importance of protecting your privacy. Our privacy policies are located at https://privacy.collegeboard.org/ (collectively, "Privacy Policies") and are part of these Terms of Service. By using Vision Builder, you're agreeing that we can collect and process your information, including personally identifiable information, in the ways described in our Privacy Policies and in these Terms of Service.
  12. GENERAL DISCLAIMER. YOU ACCEPT COLLEGE BOARD SERVICES 'AS IS'.
  13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT FINALLY DETERMINED TO BE PROHIBITED BY LAW, COLLEGE BOARD'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU, YOUR PARENTS OR LEGAL GUARDIANS OR ANYONE CLAIMING BY OR THROUGH YOU OR ON YOUR BEHALF, FOR ANY CLAIMS, LOSSES, COSTS, OR DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RESULTING FROM OR IN ANY WAY RELATED TO COLLEGE BOARD OR COLLEGE BOARD SERVICES, FROM ANY CAUSE, SHALL NOT EXCEED $100.00. IN ADDITION, COLLEGE BOARD WILL NOT BE LIABLE IN ANY EVENT FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES.

By using Vision Builder, I understand and agree to these Terms of Service, which govern my use of Vision Builder.
