AP Seminar, AP Research, and AP English Language & Composition Teacher
Kate Malone is a National Board Certified Teacher who, during her 36 year career as an English Language Arts teacher, has taught every level and grade of high school English. She currently teaches AP English Language and Composition, AP Seminar, and AP Research at Piedra Vista High School in Farmington, NM. In addition to leading workshops for other AP teachers in New Mexico, Kate has been a reader for both the AP Lang and the AP Seminar exams.
Mirta Valdes-Bradner (NBCT)
Advanced Placement (AP) Spanish Language Teacher
Mirta Valdes-Bradner is an experienced AP Spanish Language educator with over 28 years in both private and public schools. Since 2012, she has been an AP Spanish Language exam reader and a strong advocate for AP programs. As one of 23 State Advocate Leads, she has significantly influenced legislation supporting AP education.
Mirta continues to promote world language education and the benefits of AP programs, ensuring all students have access to quality learning opportunities.
Cassy McKee
Senior Program Manager, Schoolhouse.world
Cassy McKee is Senior Program Manager at Schoolhouse.world, an education nonprofit founded by Sal Khan of Khan Academy. She leads the SAT Bootcamp program, which has supported over 80,000 learners with free peer-to-peer tutoring. Cassy previously served as Executive Director of Reading Partners Seattle and began her career as a special education teacher through Teach for America.
Ina Nikolova
High School Senior & Schoolhouse.world Volunteer
Ina Nikolova is a high school senior in New Jersey. She volunteers at Schoolhouse.world, an education nonprofit founded by Sal Khan of Khan Academy. Ina began her volunteer journey as an SAT Bootcamp tutor in November 2022. She has since held several roles within the SAT Bootcamp program, helping connect tutors and learners worldwide through free peer tutoring. Having taken AP, PSAT, and SAT exams, she would love to answer any questions from a student’s perspective!
